Sonic frontiers voice6/29/2023 ![]() 6th emerald: Red (found in a volcanic region).5th emerald: Turquoise (found in an icy mountain region).4th emerald: Yellow (found in a desert).3rd emerald: White (found ontop of ancient ruins).2nd emerald: Blue (found in an oceanic area).1st emerald: Green (found in a luscious greenland area). Here's one prediction (with their locations to match): But what order will the Emeralds be collected in? The order is different for each game, with green or blue usually being the first one, and white, red, or purple being the final one, with yellow and cyan near the middle. The colour order of the Chaos EmeraldsNow that it's been confirmed that the Chaos Emeralds will be returning, the idea behind the game seems to be (so far): explore the open world and gain new abilities to reach portal gears which unlock linear stages, then complete them to get Vault Keys that unlock the Chaos Emeralds (presumably, collecting all 7 of them unlocks the final stage and Final Boss). Supporting this is the Cyberspace levels, which reuse both level themes and level layouts, which not only has Takashi Iizuka said is intentional, but also that the levels represent Sonic's memories. The last Classic Sonic game, Sonic Mania, had Mania in its title because in its sister release, Sonic Forces, had the Phantom Ruby, which induces a form of mania. Another point of evidence is the name of Sonic Origins. Also, it may be possible that the AI was made by the people to preserve their culture and history, and helps Sonic because he is the last of their masters. It is also mentioned in the game’s summary that Sonic will have to “save himself” implying the story will explore Sonic’s character, and having him discover his origins would be a great way to do that. Sonic also has a new “cyber-contrail,” which implies that he found an Upgrade Artifact that worked on him because he is a descendant of the island’s people. The Starfall Islands are related to Sonic’s pastNotice how there are many features on the islands that would only make sense if it were populated by a people with speed and abilities similar to Sonic, such as the “hamster wheels” and grind rails. You were right about gems of power coming from space, though. The game itself is all one big experiment that this entity is running, either to test Sonic himself or the capabilities of the Phantom Ruby. Someone or something steals the Chaos Emeralds and/or Master Emerald before the events of the game and uses them as bait to draw Sonic to the Starfall Islands. There will also be a prequel story starring Knuckles, which a preview seems to imply might involve some sort of bizarre storm sweeping over the island. ![]() The setup for the game (from what we know so far) has Sonic becoming isolated on the Starfall Islands with an AI voice telling him to collect the Chaos Emeralds, which seem to be held in some sort of area that requires "vault keys" from portal stages. Perhaps its name comes from the fact the Phantom Ruby (or Phantom Rubies) originally came from space and landed on the islands. The location was originally used by an ancient civilization to run various tests using the Phantom Ruby, with it being the source of most of the enemies, puzzles, and challenges the player can find. The veteran voice actor announced last year that he was stepping away from the Sonic role after a decade spent voicing the character, so longtime fans should be happy to hear the familiar voice once again return. The Starfall Islands were originally a research facility for the Phantom Ruby, and Sonic is being used as a test subject. He’s also voiced characters such as Captain America for various cartoons in the Marvel Universe. Smith has voiced Ezio Auditore in the Assassin’s Creed series, Batman in Batman: Arkham Origins, and Mirage in Apex Legends. If you’re still trying to place Smith’s voice, you’ve probably heard it in many other games as well. Since then, he’s voiced the hedgehog just about everywhere you can imagine, from video games to the Wreck It Ralph movies. His first job as Sonic came all the way back in 2010, in Sonic Free Riders. Sonic is voiced by actor Roger Craig Smith, who has been the voice of Sonic in dozens of games, shows, and films over the past decade. ![]() If Sonic’s voice in Sonic Frontiers sounds familiar to you, that’s because he’s played by a Sonic veteran.
